MEET ANNA:

Confident professional woman in a black suit against a blue background.

BIO - Mrs. Anna Jones is a dedicated Flagler County resident who moved here in 2023 to retire and enjoy an active yet peaceful lifestyle and embracing the natural charm and welcoming spirit that drew her to this special community. After a career in customer service and helping others, she built expertise in putting you, the customer, first.  Anna is now channeling that same dedication into protecting and improving Flagler County for everyone.

Deeply influenced by her father—a respected Colonel in the U.S. Air Force whose final resting place is in Arlington National Cemetery—Anna holds profound love and respect for our military, veterans, and those who serve. This heritage fuels a strong commitment to honoring service members, supporting military families, and ensuring our community remains a place of pride and gratitude.

A fierce advocate, Anna believes in safeguarding the vulnerable and preserving what makes Flagler County livable: clean air and water, protected wildlife habitats, and safe spaces for kids to grow. With 25 years of passion for genealogy—researching family trees, analyzing DNA, and proudly serving as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)—she is committed to preserving history and connections that bind us.

An active volunteer, Anna has been digitizing records for FindAGrave at cemeteries like Pellicer Creek Cemetery, Masonic Cemetery on Old Kings Road, and other local sites to honor those who came before. She has served as an election poll worker since 2008, upholding fair elections, and volunteered with community organizations. Holding an associate's degree in computer science,

In conversations with neighbors and friends, Anna also hears widespread frustration: explosive growth overwhelming infrastructure, worsening traffic, rising utility costs and property taxes, and officials who seem disconnected from residents' daily realities. She moved here to enjoy retirement in tranquility—not to watch that quality of life erode—and is determined to restore balance.

With a proven track record of research, advocacy, service, and empathy, Anna is running for County Commissioner to deliver common-sense, compassionate leadership that prioritizes families, veterans, children, animals, the environment, fiscal responsibility, transparency, and smart, sustainable growth. She looks forward to meeting residents, listening deeply to your concerns, and working together to protect and enhance the peaceful, vibrant Flagler County we all cherish.

FLAGLER COUNTY DESERVES BETTER LEADERSHIP

Serving Flagler Residents, Not Special Interests

As a resident of Quail Hollow and owner of the website, PeaceforPalm.com, I know what it means to be ignored by County Officials!  I/we have been fighting for our rights and quality of life for years!  I hear complaints daily.  Your voice matters.

I have been out talking to residents and there are issues everywhere in this county.  Like many of you, I've worked hard and want the best for our families and neighborhoods.  That's why I'm running for Flagler County Commission: to bring back real accountability and common-sense leadership back to county government.

BLAISE INGOLIA AUDITS FLAGLER COUNTY

There has been much concern over the growth of governments in recent years.  Some growth in government spending is needed to support essential services in rapid growning areas like Flagler County.  A recent review by Governor DeSantis CFO, Blaise Ingoglia, found Flagler County to be the worst county of those counties reviewed to date when it comes to excessive, wasteful spending. Here are the key points from his review:

  • The General Fund grew nearly 120% (from $92.5 million in FY 2019-20 to $202.7 million in FY 2025-26).
  • Using a benchmark of inflation + population growth, the county added $3,385 in budget spending per new resident (or $13,542 per family of four).
  • The county added 80 full-time administrative employees during this time.
  • Flagler showed the highest budget increase among the 17+ local governments reviewed so far by the Florida Agency for Fiscal Oversight.
  • Ingoglia recommended immediate property tax relief for residents, arguing that excess belongs to taxpayer's pocket ratrher than government coffers.
  • For more information go to: myfloridacfo.com

As a conservative, I will fight for you by:

  • Demanding smarter spending and tax relief.
  • Prioritizing core services like public safety, roads and infrastructure.
  • Push for transparency so every tax dollar is accounted for and justified.
  • Stand up against bloat and unnecessary expansion of the County government.
  • Conduct internal audits to determine redundancies in administrative staff positions.
  • Tighten County staff performance standards to ensure accountability to Flagler County citizens.

RAPID GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT

Flagler County's 2026 population is estimated at 146,448.  Development and population increases are welcome, but they must be managed responsibly, so services to its citizens keep pace without endless tax hikes, increasing utility bills, and failing infrastructure.  How will we mitigate the consequences of all of the development on natural resources that have made the County a great place to live? And, although Flagler County and cities, like Palm Coast and Bunnell, have worked together on strategic planning for many key issues, the implementation of specific actions frequently does not follow specific objectives in those plans. What is needed is to track specific actions and determine whether or not they met their intended objectives.  And whether or not changes need to be made.  This is the foundation of adaptive management.   I will fight every day to make sure Flagler County government works for you, the residents of Flagler County.

INFRASTRUCTURE - DRAINAGE AND STORMWATER

Our residents are very concerned about how rapid growth and development has led to increased risk of flooding and associated damage to properties and neighborhoods. Residents have seen their utility bills and property taxes escalate with little relief on flooding.  These issues need to be addressed before building 1000s of more homes, shopping centers, and parking lots.  Naturally, rainwater gets absorbed and recharges groundwater systems.  Loss of greenspaces, trees, and alteration of forested wetland functions, result in dramatically reduced groundwater recharge, increased flooding and runoff, but especially where natural landscape elements are replaced with impervious surfaces.  Moreover, these increases overtax our existing, aging infrastructure.  All of these factors, combined with increased water demands as the County grows, along with drought, result in water shortages which the entire region is experiencing.  It begs the question ... where are we going to get the water?  "Toilet to tap" is a very unpopular option for more potable water.  I want SMART growth that addresses these issues up front rather than later.

TRAFFIC!! TRAFFIC!! TRAFFIC!!

Driving is a nightmare.

SR 100 is the "red light district". The roads can't handle the vehicles, lights are not timed, short turn lanes or none at all.  Our roads need expansion before growth. It will only get worse!  The traffic on SR 100 will be worse with the new Walmart and other stores.  At Belle Terre South the residents can't get out of Quail Hollow.  Now they have approved many more stores on this corner.  US 1 won't be able to handle the number of vehicles they plan to bring with all the new homes.  When elected, I will work to eliminate this burden through collaboration with state, city, and county officials, and by setting specific performance measures and tracking mechanisms to ease these burdens before problems arise.

SMART GROWTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESTRUCTION

Rapid development and growth lead to loss of several key environmental elements that provide habitat for wildlife and plant species, as well as natural services that abate flooding risks and help improve air quality.  Smart growth strategies include preserving habitat, and expanding habitats corridors and buffers along existing and planned drainage pathways, including those that are man-made.  Tree buffers help reduce flooding and improve water quality.  There must be buffers between new residential and commercial developments as well to improve quality of life.  The County already has a number of these buffers and we should look for opportunities to connect them to existing protected habitats, including those in parks and conservation areas.  This would off-set some of the habitat losses associated with growth.  When elected, I will aggressively pursue landscape design and SMART GROWTH options between the State, County, and Local Communities.

We CARE about the FUTURE of Flagler County!

ARE YOU BETTER OFF TODAY THAN YOU WERE FOUR YEARS AGO?

I will fight for you by:

-Demanding smarter spending and immediate tax relief.

-Prioritizing core services like public saftey, roads, and infrastructure.

-Push for full transparency so every tax payer dollar is tracked and justified.

-Stand up against administrative bloat and unnecessary expansion.

I'm not a politician, an attorney, or realtor.  I'm your neighbor who believes the government should serve the residents, not grow at our expense.  We can restore fiscal discipline and
