As a resident of Quail Hollow and owner of the website, PeaceforPalm.com, I know what it means to be ignored by County Officials! I/we have been fighting for our rights and quality of life for years! I hear complaints daily. Your voice matters.
I have been out talking to residents and there are issues everywhere in this county. Like many of you, I've worked hard and want the best for our families and neighborhoods. That's why I'm running for Flagler County Commission: to bring back real accountability and common-sense leadership back to county government.
IT WAS NO EASY TASK TO COLLECT OVER 1000 PETITION SIGNATURES TO QUALIFY FOR THE BALLOT, BUT ANNA DID IT IN 3 WEEKS!! THAT SAVED $4,400 IN FILING FEES! HARD WORK AND DEDICATION PAYS OFF AND ANNA WILL DO THE SAME FOR YOU!

There has been much concern over the growth of governments in recent years. Some growth in government spending is needed to support essential services in rapid growning areas like Flagler County. A recent review by Governor DeSantis CFO, Blaise Ingoglia, found Flagler County to be the worst county of those counties reviewed to date when it comes to excessive, wasteful spending. Here are the key points from his review:

They took photos all evening and the best one they have of Anna Jones is looking down? You can see the bias in the photos and the puff piece reporting for incumbants. They won't give fair and honest reporting or interviews. They are shills for the establishment. You know we are in deep trouble when the media covers for them.

Just try and figure out what 16% and 14% OTHER ...30% of our taxes go to pet projects. Also, the Sheriff's budget...residents, past present and future officials have said the Sheriff's budget is too big. They told me not to get on his bad side, but one can't help questioning this top number.

10 years of taxable values and millage rates
FY 22-23 the roll back rate dropped to 7.16
This is because property values grew and new growth.
*****70%*****
The millage rates should've gone down too, but they only went down .10 (The rollback rate is the millage rate that would generate THE SAME REVENUE AS THE YEAR BEFORE). So, when they say theyve dropped the millage, it's true, but they need to do much better!

If we lowered the millage to 7.16 (a reasonable rate) you would pay $1,790 (-$255).
If we lowered the millage to 6.78 (what Ingolia suggested) you would pay $1,695 (-$350)
Just eliminate the waste, fraud, and abuse!

Their numbers are higher than my estimates. I have esitmated there wil be a 17% reduction ($24M) in 2027 and 24% reduction in 2028 ($37M).
Whatever the actual numbers are, they are telling us the sky is falling and we will all die of starvation. Waste, Fraud, and Abuse are not isolated by Flagler County alone, but their adament denial is astounding. This is why the state did the FAFO Audit and now Governor DeSantis wants to lower taxes for our most vulnerable. I have met many people here that need it. Please vote yes.

Powerpoint Presentations. Why so many? I will puke if I see another one. Just give us data.
I'm pretty sure the BOCC does not read these books. It's obvious they they do not read the agendas they are voting on. F.I.R.S.T. - Fiscal accountability, Innovative solutions, Responsible growth, Superior service, and Transparent government. Of the 1000s of pages I've been reading, this statement is the most laughable.

The county has approved commercial shopping center the size of 5 Walmarts in a neighborhood community, along with over 500 units of housing. The same at Palm Coast earlier this year approving the addition of homes from the max 58 to 73. These meetings were both packed with people and they passed them anyway. Is that responsible growth or superior service? Nope! A slap in the face!

They have skewed the traffic data so they can expand SR 100 from I-95 to A1A for their Eco Tourism building. Whille adding the BJs, Walmart, and so many other stores on SR 100 from Belle Terre to I-95, this traffic will be a nightmare! This route needs priority!

These builders are getting away with everything! You can see here that the General Revenue (our already high taxes) pays for so many projects and the Impact Fees $1.9M only contributed to the Westside Firestation 51. This is not enough! Growth must pay for growth!

THEY'RE FILLING IN THE WETLANDS! THESE ARE ENTIRE ECOSYTEMS AND THEY'RE KILLING THEM! WHEN YOU CREATE IMPERVIOUS SURFACES, SUCH AS ROOFTOPS, ROADS AND PARKING LOTS THE RAINWATER GOES INTO CANALS AND INTO THE OCEAN AND NOT THE GROUNDWATER. WHEN THEY KEEP PUMPING WATER FROM THE GROUNDWATER, YOU GET SINKHOLES AND THERE'S NOT ENOUGH GROUNDWATER FOR THE BUILDING THEY WANT TO DO.. WE NEED TO PROTECT THESE FRAGILE ECOSYSTEMS WITH LARGE BUFFERS TO ABSORB THE RUNOFF INTO THE GROUNDWATER AND THIS ALSO ACTS AS A WILDLIFE CORRIDOR FOR ANIMALS. WE MUST ENFORCE THIS!

Rapid development and growth lead to loss of several key environmental elements that provide habitat for wildlife and plant species, as well as natural services that abate flooding risks and help improve air quality. Smart growth strategies include preserving habitat, and expanding habitats corridors and buffers along existing and planned drainage pathways, including those that are man-made. Tree buffers help reduce flooding and improve water quality. There must be buffers between new residential and commercial developments as well to improve quality of life. The County already has a number of these buffers and we should look for opportunities to connect them to existing protected habitats, including those in parks and conservation areas. This would off-set some of the habitat losses associated with growth. When elected, I will aggressively pursue landscape design and SMART GROWTH options between the State, County, and Local Communities.
We CARE about the FUTURE of Flagler County!

BIO - Mrs. Anna Jones is a dedicated Flagler County resident who moved here in 2023 to retire and enjoy an active yet peaceful lifestyle and embracing the natural charm and welcoming spirit that drew her to this special community. After a career in customer service and helping others, she built expertise in putting you, the customer, first. Anna is now channeling that same dedication into protecting and improving Flagler County for everyone.
Deeply influenced by her father—a respected Colonel in the U.S. Air Force whose final resting place is in Arlington National Cemetery—Anna holds profound love and respect for our military, veterans, and those who serve. This heritage fuels a strong commitment to honoring service members, supporting military families, and ensuring our community remains a place of pride and gratitude.
A fierce advocate, Anna believes in safeguarding the vulnerable and preserving what makes Flagler County livable: clean air and water, protected wildlife habitats, and safe spaces for kids to grow. With 25 years of passion for genealogy—researching family trees, analyzing DNA, and proudly serving as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)—she is committed to preserving history and connections that bind us.
An active volunteer, Anna has been digitizing records for FindAGrave at cemeteries like Pellicer Creek Cemetery, Masonic Cemetery on Old Kings Road, and other local sites to honor those who came before. She has served as an election poll worker since 2008, upholding fair elections, and volunteered with community organizations. Holding an associate's degree in computer science,
In conversations with neighbors and friends, Anna also hears widespread frustration: explosive growth overwhelming infrastructure, worsening traffic, rising utility costs and property taxes, and officials who seem disconnected from residents' daily realities. She moved here to enjoy retirement in tranquility—not to watch that quality of life erode—and is determined to restore balance.
With a proven track record of research, advocacy, service, and empathy, Anna is running for County Commissioner to deliver common-sense, compassionate leadership that prioritizes families, veterans, children, animals, the environment, fiscal responsibility, transparency, and smart, sustainable growth. She looks forward to meeting residents, listening deeply to your concerns, and working together to protect and enhance the peaceful, vibrant Flagler County we all cherish.
